A Big THANK YOU!

2020 has not been an easy year for anyone, least of all long-term care facilities. As the COVID-19 pandemic has raged on, healthcare professionals working with seniors and those with debilitating medical conditions have been challenged like never before. Physical health risks,  social distancing orders, and long hours have plagued the world of skilled nursing care, but the team at Princeton Health Care Center has risen to the occasion and surpassed all expectations in helping residents to adjust to the temporary changes in visitation necessitated by the public health emergency.  At a time when people all over America are counting their blessings for family, friends, and good fortune, it is important to recognize the efforts of our staff in continuing to provide top-notch care in the face of enormous obstacles.

Thank you to our medical staff!

With travel restrictions and social distancing orders in place, the onsite skilled nursing care our residents receive at Princeton Health Care Center has been crucial in keeping everyone healthy. Residents can be evaluated by our Medical Director if they experience symptoms from new or existing conditions, and our staff can keep a constant watch on the progression of any illnesses.  Services like speech therapyoccupational therapy, and physical therapy continue so that our residents stay physically strong and able to communicate their needs effectively to one another and to our attentive staff members. Our entire clinical team has worked so well together to provide the highest level of care our patients and their families have come to expect. Thank you for keeping us all healthy and well!

Thank you to our support staff!

Our residents rely on our staff for much more than medical treatments. As relatives and friends are unable to visit their loved ones at skilled nursing care facilities, it has become more important than ever before to ensure that social connections are being made. Our Activities department has been working hard to create innovative ways to celebrate the seasons and holidays so that residents remain busy and hopeful as we all wait for life to return to normal. Themed decorations, interactive games and contests, special meals, and craft projects have served to entertain and connect our residents, creating a bond that will help us all get through this together. The amount of love and care that has been put into making these plans is obvious from the minute you walk in the door. It is wonderful to see our residents smiling through such a difficult time. Thank you for keeping spirits high and opening your hearts to all our residents!  We are also so appreciative of our housekeeping, maintenance, social services, and administrative departments and staff members!  No one’s job at PHCC has been unchanged in some way by the ongoing pandemic, but everyone has taken the challenges in stride and continued to keep the safety, well-being, and happiness of our residents the top priority during a time of many changes and adjustments.  We are so proud of each and every team member!

Thank you to our community!

Our last thank you goes to our wonderful residents and their families. This has not been an easy time for any of us, but it has been heartwarming to see everyone adjust to the changes in our facility for the health and safety of residents and staff. Princeton Health Care Center is thankful to all of those who continue to use our virtual visitation options to keep your connections fresh while adhering to best practices. Most of all, we are thankful to our amazing residents who make everything we do worth it!
